About Us

Greyhound Rankings was built to level the playing field between punters and bookmakers.

Who built this

This platform was set up by Russ, an engineer and data analyst with a background in building systems that turn raw data into actionable insight. The project started as a personal tool and grew into something worth sharing.

The problem

Bookmakers employ teams of analysts and run sophisticated pricing models. They know, with reasonable accuracy, the true probability of every runner in every race. Punters, by contrast, have very little beyond form guides and gut feel. That information asymmetry is the edge bookmakers rely on.

What we do

We track over 20,000 greyhounds and maintain live power ratings using an Elo-based ranking system updated continuously from race results. Every dog gets a rating that reflects their true competitive level, not just recent form. When a highly-rated dog is undervalued by the market, that is where the edge is found.

Transparency first

Everything on this platform is data-driven and auditable. We publish our historical picks and results so you can evaluate the system for yourself. No black boxes. No vague claims. Just a model, its outputs, and a track record you can inspect.

The bookies have models. Now punters do too.
